Kindergarten Dobro Drvo is the holder of the EU project "CONTINUATION OF IMPROVING SERVICES FOR CHILDREN IN THE SYSTEM OF EARLY AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATION" funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The aim of the project is to contribute to the harmonization of business and family life of parents with children involved in early and preschool education programs. In order to achieve the above, the project introduces the afternoon work service of the kindergarten and the improvement of the kindergarten service through regular and special programs.

 Also, thanks to the European Social Fund (ESF), the Kindergarten is a partner in the project "Strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to promote STEM" together with OMEP Croatia and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb.

 

The latter project, with the aim of popularizing STEM, seeks to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics closer to children and develop interest in their study, or study the world around them in an appropriate way - through play. The emphasis is on the functional learning and practical value of incentives for the purpose of understanding the world around them and on encouraging children to connect the newly learned with existing knowledge and past experiences. Curiosity, as a dominant characteristic of children of early and preschool age, we want to direct towards the contents of the STEM area by designing and offering them mathematical-logical and research activities and contents, and from an early age to enable the development of research thinking as a basis for optimal further education. which follow.

Also, Kindergarten Dobro Drvo has didactics for the needs of STEM programs, ie STEM activities in the regular educational process, such as educational robots, children's laboratory, specialized material for making experiments and other specialized didactics such as mathematical logic games and the like.
